Postpartum Depression, Anxiety, & Other Postpartum Challenges

When you become a mom, you envision coming home with your baby and feeling happiness, love, and an immediate connection with baby, but struggling postpartum actually happens to lots of moms. Whether you are experiencing sadness, worry, breastfeeding difficulties, not connecting with your baby, or worried about returning to work I can give you individual tailored tools to help you become the mom you imagined and you want to be for your baby.

Infertility, Grief, & Loss

No one expects to have difficulty becoming pregnant or experiencing loss when all you want is to be a mom. Infertility and loss are often described as feeling stuck and helpless while the world is moving right along without you. For many women being a mom is something they have dreamed of and when this doesn’t come easily life can feel so unfair. I am able to give you a safe space to be heard without judgment while working through your feelings and thoughts.

Pregnancy, Birth Trauma, Birth Planning

Experiencing something new for the first time can feel overwhelming such as pregnancy and birth. Therapy can provide you with support, evidence-based information, help processing worries and concerns to help lead you to becoming more confident during pregnancy and planning for the birth of your baby. Unfortunately, birth trauma does happen and for moms who have had this experience doing trauma work with validation and understanding is beneficial in moving forward and healing.

Hello, I’m Andrea, the therapist behind Bloom.

My own journey into motherhood has led me to empower and help women through various life stages from pregnancy, postpartum, loss and infertility.

Each of these life stages come with unique challenges, which can feel overwhelming, and leave you grasping at straws trying to make life easier and make sense of it all.  Even though these life circumstances can be difficult, they can provide an opportunity for growth, self-awareness, exploring your strengths, and finding hope.  It is an honor to help you feel supported, heard, empowered, and remind you that you are not alone in your motherhood journey of life.
